Our leadership
Pastor Jackson planted this church in 1990. His son Joe grew up in it, came on staff in 2009, and has been here ever since. Between them they carry the preaching, the music, the counseling, and most of the phone calls.

Senior Pastor
Pastor Jackson surrendered to preach at the age of twelve. After eight years as an assistant pastor in Saginaw, he and his family planted Community Baptist Church in the Lansing area in November of 1990, and he has pastored it ever since.

Associate Pastor
Pastor Joe joined the staff full time in May of 2009, after four summers as an intern and years of service as a camp counselor, missions trip leader, and retreat coordinator. He oversees music, youth ministry, evangelism, media, and counseling.
